Eloise Giles’ exhibit opens March 5 at the Rockfish Valley Community Center* in Nelson County. A reception for the artist will be held from 4—6:30pm on Saturday, March 10. Refreshments will be served.
Eloise Gardiner Giles is a graduate of the Pratt Institute, a member of the Transparent Watercolor society of America, Virginia Watercolor Society and CVWG. She has traveled all over the world; lived and taught in Algeria, Egypt, Japan and Nova Scotia. She has also taught in a variety of schools and colleges in the United States.
At the age of 96, she paints daily, teaches a weekly class in her studio, exhibits her work locally as well as nationally and continues to win awards – having won over 160 to date.
The exhibit will be on display for the month of March.
