The Virginia Watercolor Society’s 35th annual jurored exhibition is in downtown Lynchburg this year, at the Academy of Fine Arts. Several CVWG members have been to see the show and have been impressed by the quality and diversity of the works.
Chee Ricketts received an Award of Distinction for her painting “In the Presence of the Sublime” (right). Congratulations Chee!
The exhibit is up through the end of June, and it well worth a visit. Not far from the Academy of Arts is another “must-see” art destination–the Maier Museum at Randolph College. They have a fine collection of American masters.
